The four-star Wembley Hilton Hotel comprises 361 bedrooms, conference facilities, a 660 seat capacity ballroom, a 280 seat restaurant, destination bars and a health club with pool.
Working alongside our architecture team, we wanted to create a contemporary British feel to the hotel’s interiors to showcase the best of British design to stadium and arena visitors.
Our design is distinctive yet reassuringly ‘Hilton’, with smart furnishings by designers Tom Dixon, Russel Pinch, Donna Wilson and Matthew Hilton. A range of artwork was commissioned to reflect the history of Wembley, London, and British cultural icons, combining contemporary materials with vintage accessories.
The restaurant was designed to mimic the intimacy of a British pub, with furniture used to subdivide the space into separate areas each with their own character and inspiration. The executive lounge and bar were designed as a cosy place to return to after a match or concert. At the top of the hotel, the sky bar was designed as a modern flexible space with elegant furnishings and rich traditional materials, with seating arranged on different levels to offer views of Wembley Stadium from any seat.
We delivered this impressive new-build hotel on budget and in time for the 2012 Olympic games.
