This new-build hotel was delivered as part of a mixed-use development including a new plaza and landmark office tower for our client, Development Securities. It comprises 252 bedrooms over six bedroom floors, with a restaurant, bar, conferencing and meeting areas at ground floor level. Our client’s brief and budget was for the design and construction of a three star hotel, however through the quality of our architectural and interior design we have in fact delivered a four star product on time and to the original budget.
The development is bound by a major highway, a railway and river, with a 12m height difference across the site. We have exploited this level difference to create 3 additional levels that are effectively subterranean at the front of the site. The natural topography of the site allows these ‘basement’ levels to be open to the rear of the site. Here we have created a sleek leisure facility including a swimming pool, gym and treatment areas.
The building is clad in highly reflective polished black ceramic granite producing crisp clean lines and reflections which change throughout the day. At ground level the buildings is glazed front and back creating views through the buildings to the residential ‘Green Quarter’ and beyond.
Our interior design for the Hotel has a light and modern style in bright primary colours to compliment the Park Inn branding. The combination of crisp architecture, glazed facades and colourful interiors unite flawlessly to provide a strikingly modern and fresh hotel.
