This mixed use development consists of a 252 bedroom hotel and a 14,000sq.m office building that form part of Manchester’s new ‘Green Quarter’.
The development is bound by a major highway, a railway and river, with a 12m height difference across the site. We exploited this level difference to create 4 levels of cost-efficient naturally ventilated car parking and a leisure facilities including a swimming pool, gym and treatment areas.
14 storeys of lozenge shaped office floorplates offer 360 degree views of the city and provide flexible, high-quality office accommodation to the funder, Peninsula Insurance Services, who occupy part of this landmark building, delivered on programme and on budget.
The new-build hotel comprises 252 bedrooms over six bedroom floors, with a restaurant, bar, conferencing and meeting areas at ground floor level. Our client’s brief and budget was for the design and construction of a three star hotel, however through the quality of our architectural and interior design we have in fact delivered a four star product on time and to the original budget.
